'-delete-before' option for dump mode

Postby tonyb » Wed, 28 Dec 2005, 19:18

Does anyone know if there is an option in nnbackup for dump mode that will delete files on the destination that do not exist on the source? I am using dump mode exclusively (0 through 6) and the problem I am having is that my destination disk (external 250gb usb2 drive) is filling up after a month or so because I cannot remove old files when backing up. I have to manually remove files/folders to free up enough space to backup.

I am not against combining dump with sync or using sync exclusively if anyone has that suggestion. I just want to be sure that I'm not missing any parameter for dump mode that will do what -delete-before does in sync mode. I tried -delete-before in dump mode but nnb seems to ignore it.

Thanks.

No. in dump mode there are no parameters tthat do what -delete-before does in sync mode.

AFAIK, there are no plans to 'combine' dump and sync.
