Hi I just burned 15 DVD's using fill to sort the files, and now I'm checking the files it has skipped loads, for apparently no reason, has anyone found this, or is it a bug or something?
I've lost alot of data so any light on this is appreciated, i've got alot more to backup..
I simply used fill with 4438m and -rl and the in & out directories.

please, give us more info. which nnBackup build do you use? if there is smth strange in the logs (use -v command line option). show us the exact command line string etc... do you have any guess which files are missed? are they accessible (enough user privileges)?

nnBackup V 2.28 Build 260 25.05.2005
Looking at the DVD's it seems to have skipped smaller files, I used nnBackup fill 4438m -i c:\b -o c:\d -s -e -v
and ended up with different folders in C:\d like C:\d\1, C:\d\2 etc, which in my test before, were perfectly fine, but this time as mentioned above nnBackup has ommitted some files, notably the smaller ones, but hang on there is one small file in there..
Does nnBackup -fill have any default flags which would omit any files? IE it only does ones with archive bit set or whatever?
This is really annoying since I deleted the original files, oh well, of to a fresh start.
edit:
Sorry forgot to answer your exact questions, the files were all accessible (permission wise) and infact, some of the omitted ones were actually listed on the stdout of nnBackup at the beginning, but there are no errors, just timestamps and paths.

you know, I'm still unable to reproduce your problem, but I'm highly recommending you to try the latest beta, just because there were some fill-related bugs fixed: http://www.nncron.ru/forums/viewtopic.php?t=962

Tried same version of nnBackup fill 4430M -s -v (-e omitted) on a large (108GiB) directory structure again and this time it has worked, copying the exact amount of files (14 bytes missing maybe a hidden or changed system file) to the sequence of output directories.
I won't persue the issue any further, I have another question to ask.
Thanks VK.
