I don't see an easy way to do this. The easiest way I can imagine is to run nnBackup 4 times:

\ creating filelist with changed files and copying these files to yyy
nnbackup.exe copy -i xxx -o yyy -s -D 01.10.2004 -list files_to_delete.txt
\ deleting changed files in xxx
nnbackup.exe copy -il- @files_to_delete.txt -o xxx
\ making filelist of unchanged files
nnbackup.exe copy -i xxx -o zzz -s -list unchanged_files.txt -nocopy
\ bringing changed files back
nnbackup.exe copy -i yyy -o xxx -s

The last step is to delete yyy dir.

The above procedure should be much easier if we could create filelists in 'delabsent' mode:

\ create filelist with changed files:
nnbackup.exe copy -i xxx -o yyy -s -D 01.10.2004 -list changed_files.txt -nocopy
\ create filelist with unchanged files
nnbackup.exe delabsent -il @changed_files.txt -o xxx -list unchanged_files.txt -nocopy

Nicholas, what do you think of this?

I think, it is necessary to add new option -DLT <date>.

Nicholas, please, be more specific: I'm not sure I understand what '-DLT' means and how it can be used in Steve's example...

nnbackup.exe copy -i xxx -o zzz -s -list unchanged_files.txt -nocopy -DLT 01.10.2004

But file unchanged_files.txt will contain only name of files.

Aha! Got it! So: 'DLT' is 'D<less then>'... And using this option one can process files which were not changed since specified date. Yes, this seems to be useful feature. Thanks...

valery > hello !
i've tried your second solution successfully

Code: Select all
rem create filelist with changed files:
nnbackup.exe copy -i c:\ -o d:\  -D 01.10.2004 -list changed_files.txt -fp -nocopy
rem create filelist with unchanged files
nnbackup.exe delabsent -il @changed_files.txt -o c:\ -list unchanged_files.txt -fp -nocopy

my "changed_files.txt" contains :

c:\date.txt
c:\filelist.txt
c:\fonts.txt
c:\PDOXUSRS.NET

so it is OK for me 8)

another question :
is it possible that "changed_files.txt" contains also date and size ?

can we process directories ? (calculating the directories'size)
-> i would like to find directories in wich new files were added since 01.10.2004
thanks again :)

BTW - Nicholas uploaded new nnBackup beta with -DLT feature available.
http://www.nncron.ru/download/nnbackup228b3.exe
Please, don't be in a hurry translating docs to French, because the docs are not ready yet - this is only a draft.

As of your recent questions - all of these requests can be performed by nnCron, reading the filelist, created by nnBackup.
